News portals and media websites where editors publish in seconds, archives stay intact and every story can be found.

We build news portals and media websites for newsrooms, broadcasters and local portals. Editors publish on their own in seconds, years of archive come across without losing a story, and the portal reaches readers on the web, in an app and in search.

What this service includes

Our media work includes the website of RTV FBiH, the public broadcaster of the Federation of BiH, its official Federalna.ba app, the Visoko.co.ba news app, the TechPlay gaming portal with its own newsroom, and a Sarajevo veterans' association portal with more than ten years of news. Each item below links to the project it comes from.

  • Journalists write, editors approve and publish, and a story is live within seconds. Sections, tags, photo galleries and video are part of the system, so nobody waits for a developer. This is how the TechPlay newsroom works.

    Case study: TechPlay
  • Years of stories, photos and records come across from the old system, with Bosnian letters intact and old links still leading to the right story. The veterans' association portal kept all 152 stories going back to 2015.

    Case study: Maloljetni dobrovoljci
  • For broadcasters and institutions: tenders, decisions and official documents sorted by year and searchable, and anything withdrawn from public view stays on record. The RTV FBiH site holds 1,348 procurement records from 2015 onwards.

  • An iOS and Android app that reads straight from the portal, so editors publish once and readers get an alert the moment a story is out. The Federalna.ba app does this for the public broadcaster's news portal.

    Case study: Federalna.ba
  • Banner positions on the site, sponsors that appear in the app automatically, and a cap on full-screen ads so readers stay. The Visoko.co.ba app shows the portal's sponsors exactly as the site does.

    Case study: Visoko.co.ba
  • Pages rendered on the server, a sitemap and structured data for every story, and links shared on Facebook, WhatsApp or Viber that show the real headline and photo. Speed is measured on a mid-range phone.

Why portals come to us

  • Publishing a story takes too many steps, or waits for the one person who knows the system, while competing portals already have it out.
  • The archive lives in an old system nobody dares to touch. Moving it risks broken links, missing photos and broken č, ć, đ and ž.
  • Readers arrive through Facebook, Google and push alerts, but the site is slow on a phone and a shared link shows a blank card instead of the headline.

Chosen for the work, not for the trend

We choose tools based on the requirements of the project, your existing systems and what will be practical to maintain after delivery. Below are the technologies we typically use for this type of work, and why.

  • Next.js + React

Every story is a page rendered on the server: fast on a phone, complete for search engines, and refreshed the moment an editor publishes.

  • Laravel + Filament

A back office for the newsroom with roles for journalists and editors, as behind TechPlay, so nobody touches code to publish.

  • TypeScript

Every content type is defined once, so templates, the app and search all read the same structure.

  • React Native + Expo

One app for iPhone and Android that reads from the portal, released to both stores together.

  • Firebase

Delivers news alerts to the lock screen, on the service Google supports today.

  • Hetzner

Our own hosting in EU data centres, with nightly backups of the database and every document.

The work stays with you

  • A newsroom that publishes on its own

Roles, templates and a recorded walkthrough, so publishing never waits for a developer.

  • The whole archive, findable

Every old story at a readable address, with old links redirected to the right place.

  • Publish once, reach every channel

The site, the app and alerts are all fed from the same story.

  • Code and accounts you own

Repository, domain, hosting and the archive registered to your business from day one.

Ask a question
01How long does a news portal take?

A portal with a newsroom CMS typically takes 6–12 weeks, depending on content types, the size of the archive and integrations such as an app or ads. The timeline is written into the scope before work starts.

02How much does a news portal cost?

It depends on content types, the size of the archive and whether an app is part of the project. You receive the final price in writing after a short call, and it does not change. For reference, business websites start from €1,800 and web applications from €4,500.

03Who owns the portal and the archive?

You do. The code, domain, hosting and archive are registered to your business from day one, and full ownership transfers on final payment.

04Can you move our archive from WordPress or another system?

Yes. We catalogue the old system first, then move stories, photos and authors, keep old addresses working through redirects and check Bosnian letters after the move. Galleries and other special content are listed in the scope, so you know in advance what comes across.

05Can we keep our current editorial system?

Often, yes. Federalna.ba kept its own system and we built the app on top of it, so the newsroom changed nothing. When the current system is the problem, we recommend a move and explain why in writing.

06Can the app and the site share one publication?

Yes. The app reads from the portal, so editors publish once and readers get an alert. That is how the Federalna.ba and Visoko.co.ba apps work.
