The challenge
Gaming audiences live on speed and freshness: a catalogue of hundreds of thousands of titles has to be searchable instantly, editorial has to publish without friction, and every page has to be light enough to win on mobile. A generic CMS buckles under that combination.
What we did
We built the front end on Next.js for server-rendered, instantly-searchable pages, and gave the editorial team a Laravel + Filament back office to manage news, reviews, the 200k-title database and the release calendar without touching code.
Each game, review and category renders as its own indexable page with structured data, so the catalogue works as an SEO engine rather than a database locked behind search — and the community layer (Discord, tools like the release calendar and backlog helpers) keeps players coming back.
