The challenge
A newsroom that publishes around the clock needed to reach its audience where they actually are — on their phones — with breaking news, video segments and the live programme schedule, fast and reliable enough to carry a national broadcaster's name.
What we did
We built one React Native codebase for both iOS and Android, wired directly into the broadcaster's newsroom feed so articles, video and the schedule update in real time without a separate publishing step.
Push notifications surface breaking news the moment it lands, video plays inline, and the whole app is tuned for the low-friction, fast-scrolling behaviour of a mobile news audience.
