Studio PortMix
An interior studio's first conversation, prepared before the first meeting.
A site of its own for Studio PortMix, the interior architecture studio of a Swiss joinery. Prospective clients describe their project step by step instead of sending a one-line message, in French or English, and the studio writes and sends its own newsletters.

The challenge
Studio PortMix is the interior architecture and design studio of PortMix SA, with a 600-square-metre showroom in Echandens. It works for private clients, for investors in rentals and guesthouses, and for hotels and restaurants.
It needed a presence of its own, separate from the joinery, in the two languages its clients use. And an interior project rarely fits in a contact form: the studio wanted people to arrive at the first meeting having already described what they have in mind.
How we approached it
- A home of its own. The studio lives at studio.portmix.ch, next to the joinery but not inside it, so each speaks to its own clients in its own languages.
- A questionnaire instead of a contact form: six short steps, from the space and the vision to the timeline and the documents, saved along the way so no one has to start over.
- The studio's own voice in every inbox. A built-in editor lets the team write newsletters in French or English and send them through any mailing service, without an agency.
- Launched without touching their email. One DNS record was added, and the company's Microsoft 365 setup was checked before and after.
What the client got
What changed for the client and for the people they serve, shown on the live project.
Contact, the project, the vision, the timeline and the documents, in six guided steps. Answers are kept in the browser for two weeks, so a visitor can come back and finish.
Seven areas of expertise and a six-step process, from the first meeting to the finished space, so a client knows what to expect before calling.
French by default and English on its own address, with each visitor sent to the right one by their browser.
Three templates, French or English, a live preview for desktop and phone, and email that displays correctly even in Outlook.

Technology, and why it matters
Chosen for what this client needed, not for fashion.
Next.js
Fast pages in two languages, with the questionnaire loading only when a visitor reaches it.
Next.js DevelopmentReact Hook Form
A long questionnaire that stays quick and smooth to fill in, step after step.
Zod
The same checks in the browser and on the server, so no step can be skipped or left half done.
Framer Motion
Calm transitions that suit an interior studio, switched off for visitors who prefer less movement.
After launch
Hosted and looked after by us
On the company's own subdomain since 30 September 2026, with backups switched on.
No broken images in sent newsletters
The old preview address now forwards to the live site, so images in newsletters already sent keep loading.
Free website audit
Enter your domain and we’ll scan up to 25 pages for performance, search visibility, security and email configuration. The results appear on screen in around 90 seconds, with a PDF available if you want to keep a copy.
Only audit websites you own or have permission to test. Each report is saved at its own link, so it can be shared.
